Iced Coffee at the Office – Simple Ideas for Warm Days

1 min read

On warm days, some people skip hot coffee. Iced coffee is a simple way to keep the kitchen useful.

The easiest ways to make iced coffee at the office are pouring fresh espresso over ice or steeping cold brew in a jug in the fridge. Neither needs new equipment – just ice, glasses, and some fridge space.

Espresso over ice

Brew an espresso or a strong coffee and pour it straight over ice. Add cold milk if you like. If the office has a coffee vending machine (publisher's site), just keep an ice container nearby.

Cold brew in a jug

Coarsely ground coffee is steeped in cold water in the fridge for many hours, then strained. Follow the roaster's recipe for ratio and time.

Hygiene

Label the jug with the date it was made and do not keep it longer than the recipe suggests. Store ice in a closed container.

FAQ

Do we need special equipment for cold brew? No. A jug and a strainer or filter are enough.

Can iced coffee be decaf? Yes, you make it the same way with decaf.
